@Hal Agreed! Seriously good stuff, especially if you’re a wheat beer drinker like me.

Quick note: I did bring home two bottles of Nigori on the plane. They survived the trans-Pacific flight, but I wouldn’t leave them unrefrigerated much longer than that.

Rory,
Great writeup, photos and advice for the sake drinker. Down my way in Okinawa the local sake is called awamori and it’s brewed a bit differently, more like 50-80 proof. Gives you massive headaches if you spend a night drinking both, sake and beer. But, the local sake alone, not a problem. Once you get over thinking it smells like a cross between Ronson Lighter Fluid and Kerosene and get a l’il buzz, it goes down pretty smooth.
