I love NPR and I love free and I love music, so I was delighted to discover NPR’s Music Page.

Along with the Concert Page with free concert downloads they offer the Song of the Day. I’m picky. I dislike more than I like, so it’s great to find a place where there’s a new sound and artist offered up every day to sample.

Check out Erin McKeown’s dissonant Put the Fun Back in Funeral, or OutKast’s So Fresh and Clean. The song of the day is all over the place and you’ll find something new or old that you need to listen to just when you need it.

I love All Songs Considered. I seriously write to Bob Boilen’s voice. Is that weird? The show is just so soothing, though. And I’ve found some awesome music through it. My Saturday afternoons sometimes consist entirely of All Songs Considered.
