Kuala Lumpur probably has the best and most diverse night food spots that stay open way past 3am. The variety of food is simply mind-boggling: Cantonese, Szechuan, Hainanese, Malay, Indian, Indian-Muslim, Thai, etc... Anyone who's ever been to K.L. and experienced the nightlife and Malaysians' passion for food will vouch for this. I’m shocked that Kuala Lumpur isn’t on this list! If you find yourself in Los Angeles, CA there is a Korean restaurant called Koffea. Cheap and wonderful soup, tea, coffee, drinks and fantastic atmosphere. Plus it is open until 3am. Cairo has the most amazing "cafes" set up in the middle of alley ways. Hang a mirror, put down a hookah and a couple of chairs and Voila! a Cairo cafe at your service. Delicious stuffed dates, savory meat phylo squares, delicious tomato onion couscous and more. Just don't drink the juice. Dangerous stuff.
