Varasanos is AMAZING. Real pizza. Gotta try it. Jeff (The owner) has a huge pizza recipe website. Google search “pizza recipe” and you’ll see what I mean

Cool! thanks for writing this. I went to high school in Atlanta way back in the day. I was going to ask about Mellow Mushroom. But I see from Leigh’s comment that they are now HUGE. Aren’t they the ones that used to be a little place in Little Five Points, or was that a different restaurant? They had a lot of mushrooms on their pizza anyway!

May I also add Mellow Mushroom. It’s an Atlanta staple, but you have to go to the branch on Briarcliff Road, the one that looks all run down and dive-y.

Then there’s the newish Varasano’s who learned his brick oven pizza making skills from owner of Patsy’s in Brooklyn.
